Our environment is everything. It's where we spend a good majority of our time working, thinking, talking, meeting and creating. That's why we have The Gallery at Off Madison Ave. It's a place where we celebrate creativity. And like all art, it is meant to inspire, awaken, and challenge us to look at things differently, so that we can do the same for our clients.
For this quarter, please enjoy the works of:
Born in Manila, Philippines, Junjie Verzosa has been painting ever since he was a child, awarded one of the Ten Outstanding Ten-year-old Artists in the Philippines. He majored in Painting at the Philippine College of Music and Fine Arts and was the first prize winner at the Spanish Embassy Art contest. He was a resident artist of The Heritage Art Center and an active member of the Philippine Art Association.
Later in Canada, Junjie continued painting and was active with the Dimasalang Group (a group of Filipino artist). There he participated in several group shows including the annual Showcase exhibition for the Shadbolt Center for the Arts.
His style is still evolving and always will be. Colors, textures, forms, lines, objects, and movements are all part or elements of his compositions. He paints thick oil brushstrokes but lately has been experimenting with mixing acrylics on some or part of his artwork.
Residing and working in Arizona now, Junjie continues to live to paint and paint to live. The Off Madison Ave Gallery, the inspiration of Agency co-founders Roger Hurni and David Anderson, proudly showcases local artists each quarter as part of our continued dedication to further creative expression.
