Our attempt at recreating the Mentos/Diet Coke video

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

For our webinar last month on social media, Will Smith and I did a quick recreation of the Mentos/Diet Coke video that everyone loves. So I thought I’d share the whole thing here.

So for the record, Mentos in a bottle of Diet Coke really will make a great mess.

Also, despite a doctor’s lab coat that is way too small for me, and the Buddy Holly glasses I was wearing because I’d smashed a contact lens… I do look really, really good.

Free Web Site Usability Assessment - This Means You

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

In two weeks, I will be presenting a Webinar on Web site usability. Improving site usability involves modifications to Web site or landing page layout/content/design to allow the visitor to accomplish his or her desired tasks quickly and efficiently (i.e. making life easy on site visitors). Usability can be applied to sites that sell products, collect lead information or just disseminate information.

  • Is your site constructed in such a way that is amenable to visitors?
  • What changes should your site undergo to improve visitor experience?
  • Would you like your site to be reviewed for usability best practices?…for FREE?!?

As part of my presentation on August 13th, I’ll be providing suggestions for several sites from a usability perspective. If you would like your site to be included in this review, please email me at chris at offmadisonave dot com. In the interest of time, not every site submitted will receive a thorough evaluation, but I’ll do my best to work in each of the sites submitted.

Thanks in advance.

Monday, July 28th, 2008

This Wednesday, July 30th, Paul Peterson and I will be presenting a webinar, as part of the Off Madison Ave Webinar Series, on how to secure earned media coverage through effective pitching to the media. We will be covering a few tricks of the trade that help our Public Relations department consistently deliver media placements for clients. In addition, we will show you how to secure online coverage even if your story angle is not very newsworthy.

We hope to see you online!
