Nifty Backlink Tool

I love free tools. Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em. Aside from being free, there are so many of these little things that make jobs easier, and even give you new ideas on doing your job that never would have occurred to you. But enough of my yakkin', let's boogie. Jason Baer sent me this link yesterday for a backlink builder tool from Webconfs.com. It's a simple application, and in fact does something I've been doing for some time by hand. But it is also a great way of showing you something you should probably be doing yourself for your site's link building. Unless you've gone completely black hat, or just have no problem paying for links, you should always be looking for new ways to get other sites to link to you. Sites that readily accept link submissions always seem to have some variation of the phrase, "add your URL," "submit your site," "add an article," etc. For example, when looking for sites to submit this blog's links to, I might go to Google and run a search for "Arizona Internet marketing firms," followed by "add url" - and just like that, with add url in quotations. This way, I look for sites with those four words, in any old order, but specifically any page that has the exact phrase, "add url." Whatever comes up is a site that is specifically showing me where to add my link, and probably has something to do with high tech and/or PR firms. (You could put that high tech PR firm in quotes to narrow the field even more, or change up the keyword your searching for.) This tool will run several different versions of the same search for you, quickly. Try it out, and see how many sites you can find that will add links to your site.
