New Kid on the Block Bing Continues to Make Mark
Out of the more than 14 billion searches conducted in November 2009, the recent marketing blitz from Bing has helped to propel them to 10.3% of the market share. While this is still behind the king of search, Google, at 65.4%, take a look at the numbers: Bing’s market share is up from 8.3% in November 2008, which is a 20% increase.
When compared to Google, whose market share only increased by 3% during the same time frame, you can see that since Bing was launched in June, they have steadily pulled market share away from both Google and Yahoo. Check out the full report from ComScore.
While 10.3% is not nearly a majority of the market share, Google has reason to worry that this new trend will continue in 2010. It will be interesting to see how Google reacts in the next couple months with new products and services. What new services would you like to see from Google?

Good to see them making a little headway but the sad reality of things is that the hill is too big to climb and it will just boil down to a battle for 2nd for many years to come.
