Off Madison Ave Co-Founder Roger Hurni Appointed to Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School Endowment Board of Trustees

Marketing Executive Will Lend Expertise to ASU's Renowned Journalism Program

Phoenix (Feb. 4, 2008) - Off Madison Ave co-founder and executive creative director, Roger Hurni, has been appointed as the newest member of Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications Endowment Board of Trustees, the firm announced today. The board will hold its first meeting of the year Wednesday at the Phoenix Urban Research Laboratory on ASU's Downtown Campus.

Under Hurni and co-founder David Anderson, Off Madison Ave (www.offmadisonave.com), a full-service marketing communications firm located in Tempe, AZ., has maintained close ties to the university over the years through recruiting fairs, guest lectures and its internship program. Through these programs, the agency continues to draw many new young professionals from the Cronkite School to the local public relations and advertising industry.

The Cronkite Endowment Board of Trustees was created in 1983 to support the Cronkite School. The board is comprised of top media leaders and marketing communications executives from around the Valley. Trustee members provide counsel to the dean on an array of issues facing the school, offers rewarding internships to Cronkite students and meets quarterly to plan the annual Cronkite Luncheon, where the Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism is presented each year to a leading journalist.

Throughout his 20-plus year career, Hurni has worked with many major local, regional and national clients and his creative work has been recognized by a variety of industry awards. He regularly mentors young professionals interested in pursuing a career in advertising and marketing. His expertise regarding advertising trends and creative campaigns has been featured in many industry and local publications and he has served as an expert panelist at industry-leading conferences.

Hurni's creative leadership and emphasis on collaboration among Off Madison Ave's various disciplines have resulted in numerous accolades for the firm including being named the top public relations and interactive marketing divisions by Ranking Arizona.
