Agency Honored for Campaigns with NIKE, Tempe in Motion and Phoenix Art Museum
Phoenix (Mar. 7, 2008) - Off Madison Ave (www.offmadisonave.com), a full-service marketing communications firm, announced today that it received 12 Addy Awards at the 23rd annual Phoenix Advertising Club banquet held Saturday, March 1 at the Scottsdale Resort and Hotel in Scottsdale.
The agency garnered Addys for its creative work with the Nike Grind, Tempe in Motion and the Phoenix Art Museum. The advertising campaign for Nike Grind was selected for 10 different consumer and trade print award categories. The agency's commercial for Tempe in Motion was recognized in the local television category and its microsite Web campaign for the Masterpiece Replayed exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum garnered an Addy for broadcast, electronic and interactive.
"It's a great honor for our agency to receive 12 Addys, the highest total in our history," said Roger Hurni, Off Madison Ave co-founder and executive creative director. "These creative campaigns were well received by our clients and delivered a variety of measurable results. I want to thank and congratulate our staff for its excellent work throughout 2007 on these marketing projects."
The Nike Grind ads were created to build awareness for Nike Grind, a recycled rubber material used to create basketball courts and running tracks. Nike Grind is created by recycling the soles and other parts of old tennis shoes. The firm's commercial for encouraging Tempe in Motion buses was created with the concept that "everyone has a reason to ride the bus." The spot illustrated this idea by using an aging rock singer explaining his reasons for riding the bus, and the character appealed to a younger demographic while showing many types of viewers that riding the bus is fun, safe and for everyone.
Off Madison Ave's microsite for the Masterpiece Replayed exhibition was designed to provide the museum with an effective trackable way to determine the amount of visitors interested in visiting the display specifically. The site showed the variety of pieces and provided a unique glimpse into the theme of exploring how artists repeat themselves in their work. The agency has been participating in the Phoenix Addy Awards program for 10 years since its founding in 1998 by Anderson and partner Roger Hurni, each of whom is a past winner of the Ad Person of the Year Award, presented at the culmination of the annual industry organization's event. Hurni won the award in 2007 and Anderson received it in 2002.
