AGENCY GROWTH MANAGER

📍 Full-time, Hybrid | Tempe, AZ

Off Madison Ave is looking for a New Business Growth Manager to own and drive the agency’s new business growth strategy. This is not a traditional sales role. You will not be cold calling. You will not be chasing inbound leads. You will be the central manager among agency leadership, group heads, and prospective clients, ensuring every new business effort moves with precision and purpose.

You report directly to the agency’s founder, Roger Hurni. You work alongside the group heads to shape, manage, and help close new business opportunities. You are the person who keeps every moving part of the growth engine aligned and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

New Business Strategy & Pipeline

  • Own and execute the agency’s new business growth plan from prospect identification through close.
  • Build and manage a structured, prioritized prospect list based on agency strengths and market opportunity, working along with our marketing partners: NewFangled and Hermann Global
  • Maintain a clean, active pipeline with clear stage definitions, timelines, and next steps.
  • Monitor inbound signals and route them appropriately without losing momentum.
  • Monitor RFP sites and opportunities on an ongoing basis, ensuring the agency never misses a relevant pursuit

Pitch Leadership & Proposal Development

  • Lead the internal pitch process from kickoff to final presentation, coordinating all contributors.
  • Serve as the primary author of proposals, RFP responses, and credentials materials.
  • Organize and manage RFP responses in close coordination with group heads across disciplines.
  • Ensure every pitch clearly and consistently reflects the agency’s Behavioral Marketing positioning.

Brand & Visibility

  • Own the Off Madison Ave brand and positioning in all new business contexts.
  • Manage the agency’s Newfangled platform and backend coordination for new business infrastructure.
  • Monitor agency work, press, and thought leadership for amplification opportunities that support growth.
  • Track agency visibility and engagement metrics and report on them regularly.
  • Manage quarterly updates of Off Madison Ave’s website as well as the website of CGPR
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and industry trends to keep the agency’s narrative sharp and relevant. This work also surfaces opportunities for agency POVs and thought leadership that strengthen Off Madison Ave’s market position.
  • Lead the agency’s award strategy, identifying, writing, and submitting entries for industry recognitions that validate agency performance and attract new clients

Internal Coordination

  • Serve as the communication hub between Roger Hurni and group heads on all active new business efforts.
  • Drive internal accountability to ensure pitch timelines are met and contributors are prepared.
  • Develop and maintain internal communication systems that keep the growth process efficient and transparent.
  • Champion a growth mindset across the agency, making new business a shared cultural priority and not just a department function

What This Role Is Not

  • You are not the lead strategist. Strategy is something you will contribute to, but it will be primarily led by the group heads and agency leadership, plus any outside strategist we employ on a contract basis.
  • You are not a hunter. You are not responsible for cold outreach or building a contact list from scratch.

Behavioral Marketing Training

Off Madison Ave is built on a Behavioral Marketing framework. You will be trained on behavior design, the principles of behavioral economics, and the agency’s prcess for developing behavioral archetypes. This training is not optional background knowledge. It will shape how you position the agency, frame proposals, and communicate value to prospects. You do not need to arrive with this expertise, but you need to be ready to learn it and apply it.

  • Size and health of the active pipeline
  • Win rate on pitches and proposals
  • Agency visibility and engagement metrics
  • Effectiveness of internal communications across the growth process
  • New business workload reduction of the agency’s leadership team

What You Bring

  • 5 or more years of experience in marketing, agency, or business development environments.
  • Strong writing skills; you are comfortable as the primary author of complex, strategic documents.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • A process-oriented mindset with a bias toward action and follow-through.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment where priorities shift and speed matters.
  • Familiarity with agency operations, pitch processes, or RFP management is a strong advantage.
  • Curiosity about behavioral science, consumer psychology, or data-driven marketing is a genuine plus.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position. In-office collaboration is encouraged, with most team members working from our Tempe, Arizona office several days per week. The office environment is casual, creative, and collaborative.
